WORKSHOP WITH BEMED 2020 WINNERS
Monaco Ocean Week 2021 was an opportunity for the 15 project leaders who received support from
BeMed in 2020 to share their experience within the network. Beyond the success of initiatives, the
discussions established that the pandemic has made it more difficult to work in the field, considering
the increased use of plastic and fragility of the private sector, which is less receptive to environmental
issues. To address these difficulties, the associations must reinforce advocacy work, rely on local
authorities which have a major role to play and encourage synergies between projects in the
Mediterranean.
